Deadly Tornadoes Tear Through Southern US

Fourth Death Confirmed in Florida

Suburban Houston Area Also Hit

A fourth person has been killed by tornadoes that have torn through the Southern United States, with the latest victim coming from the Florida Panhandle. The tornadoes have also touched down near the northwest Houston suburb of Matador, causing significant damage.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that the tornado that struck Matador was an EF-3, with winds that reached up to 140 miles per hour. The tornado caused extensive damage to the town, including several businesses and homes. One person was killed and several others were injured.

In Florida, the tornado that killed the fourth victim struck the town of Chattahoochee. The victim was a 72-year-old man who was killed when his mobile home was destroyed.

The tornadoes are part of a severe weather outbreak that has affected much of the Southern United States in recent days. The National Weather Service has issued tornado warnings for parts of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Residents in the affected areas are urged to stay informed about the weather and to take precautions to stay safe.
